Agentic AI

In one breath

AI that doesn't just answer — it acts. Plans the steps, uses the tools, finishes the job. The 2026 shift.

In more detail

Most AI chat is question-in, answer-out. Agentic AI goes further: give it a goal and it plans the steps, uses tools — a browser, your calendar, a spreadsheet — checks its own progress, and keeps going until the job is done. Less like consulting a guidebook, more like hiring a travel agent.

It matters because it changes what AI is for: from helping you write about work to actually doing some of it. It also raises the stakes — an AI that takes actions needs good guardrails, because its mistakes happen out in the real world, not just on the page.

📌 See it in action

You tell an agent: ‘Find me three flights to Lisbon next month within my budget, then draft an email to my boss requesting the days off.’ It searches airlines, compares prices, discards bad options, writes the email, and reports back — a whole chain of actions, not a single answer.
